Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ara Vahaber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tone Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vahaber comes to the cage accompanied by Dr.Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Still Dre. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ara Vahaber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tone Cross! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cross fails with a takedown attempt. Nice defenses there by Cross. Cross fails with a takedown attempt. Cross staying out of range there. Cross shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vahaber's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Vahaber is looking for a triangle but Cross pushes his legs off easily.
Vahaber seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Vahaber keeping moving, preventing Cross from controlling successfully. Vahaber not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vahaber works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cross got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vahaber has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cross has managed to get both his arms back between Vahaber's legs - danger averted. Vahaber looking for a guillotine here but Cross defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cross cracks Vahaber with a solid left hand. Vahaber is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cross is aware though and is defending well. Vahaber is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cross defends well. Vahaber is looking for a triangle but Cross pushes his legs off easily.

Cross drops back looking for a leg! Vahaber is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vahaber manages to kick Cross off! Cross jumps back into Vahaber's guard. Vahaber working for a triangle but Cross defends it easily.
Cross postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Cross scoring with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vahaber trying to control the position.

Cross trying to control but Vahaber is working from the bottom. Vahaber is pulling down on Cross's head to control his posture. Vahaber looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cross postures up in Vahaber's guard and throws a big left but Vahaber blocks it. Vahaber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cross gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cross missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cross drops back looking for a leg! Vahaber is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vahaber manages to kick Cross off! Cross jumps back into Vahaber's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vahaber has his foot on Cross's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cross works his way back into a safe position though. Vahaber has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cross can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cross thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cross wants to control from the top but Vahaber keeps moving. Vahaber wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Cross trying to control but Vahaber is working from the bottom. Vahaber looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Vahaber keeping moving, preventing Cross from controlling successfully. Cross stands up over Vahaber, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Vahaber working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cross doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cross manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cross works over Vahaber with some ground and pound from guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cross with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Cross cracks Vahaber with a solid left hand. Cross wants to control from the top but Vahaber keeps moving. Cross throwing strikes from guard but Vahaber blocks nicely. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cross connects with a couple of short punches. Cross is working Vahaber over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Cross makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Cross trying to control the position from guard on top but Vahaber is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vahaber working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cross doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cross manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tone Cross dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Cross has a takedown stuffed. Vahaber gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cross to score an easy takedown into full guard. Vahaber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cross gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tone Cross has got the better of the ground game so far. Vahaber utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Vahaber has a loose triangle. Vahaber is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cross gets to his feet and stands over Vahaber, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Vahaber felt that one! Cross unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Vahaber from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tone Cross! Tone Cross gave a mention to Popeye’s Spinach - 159 + 158 Proof Supps in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
