PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Umberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Umberto comes to the cage accompanied by Perry Como - Magic Moments. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umberto moves away from the strike by MacLeod.
Umberto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

MacLeod tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Umberto paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Umberto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around MacLeod's waist but MacLeod gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Umberto off to one side.

Umberto has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from MacLeod.

Umberto manages to get an easy takedown there - catching MacLeod on his heels. He'll look to pass MacLeod's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
MacLeod is pressed up against the cage. Umberto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag MacLeod down to the mat. MacLeod avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
You can see the frustration on MacLeod's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Umberto throws a strike but MacLeod rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
MacLeod stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Umberto swivels though and keeps the full guard.

MacLeod slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
