The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Michael.
Michael displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Teravainen throws out the jab.

Teravainen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Teravainen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Teravainen wants it to stay on the feet.

Michael shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Teravainen is trying to defend but Michael finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Teravainen is staying active underneath Michael, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Michael seems to be working for a kimura but Teravainen defends the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Michael winds up and cracks Teravainen with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Michael drops his hands momentarily and Teravainen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Michael quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Teravainen has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Michael celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
