The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benoit misses with a two punch combination.

Benoit fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. O Reilly sprawls well initially but Benoit persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Benoit trying to mount his opponent but O Reilly defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Benoit lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Benoit is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and O Reilly defends it well.
O Reilly looks like he's trying to stand up.

O Reilly should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brice Benoit wasn't doing enough on the ground.
O Reilly shoots for a double leg takedown but Benoit sprawls well. He's pushed O Reilly's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Benoit stands up from O Reilly's guard - Benoit perhaps looking for a knockout.
Benoit swats away the attempt to clinch by O Reilly.
O Reilly throws a half hearted mid kick.
Benoit really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
