PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Key Chain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Tandy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tandy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hysteria - Muse. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Tandy!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chain throws out a powerful jab.
Tandy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chain sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tandy somewhat.
Tandy darts in trying to clinch
and Chain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chain wants it to stay on the feet.
Tandy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chain scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Chain stuns Tandy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Tandy takes the fight into the clinch.
Tandy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Tandy tries to throw a body punch but Chain avoids it by throwing Tandy back against the cage.

Tandy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Chain throws a series of punches but Tandy avoids them all with ease.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tandy has closed the distance and engaged Chain in a clinch.
Tandy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Chain gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Key Chain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Tandy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tandy tries to pull guard but Chain won't allow it.
Tandy keeps control of Chain as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tandy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Tandy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for Tandy with that takedown attempt.
Rob Tandy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chain lands a nice shot to the body.
Chain displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

It looks like Rob Tandy has been cut.
Chain throws a head kick but Tandy moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Chain.
Chain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chain wants it to stay on the feet.
Chain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tandy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chain throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tandy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chain moves out of range of the body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A jab lands there for Chain.
Tandy throws a left and a right that both miss
and Chain counters with a nice uppercut.

Tandy is rocked!
Chain scores with a hook to the body. Tandy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tandy is still on wobbly legs! Can Chain finish him?
Tandy looks gassed!
Chain lands a brutal uppercut that launches Tandy off his feet! Tandy tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Key Chain!
