The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes shoots in and drives through. Mcfadden sprawls well.
Mcfadden moves in looking to clinch but Barnes pushes him off.
Barnes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mcfadden but Mcfadden pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Barnes takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Mcfadden throws a nice looking combination but Barnes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mcfadden scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mcfadden is looking to clinch but Barnes is avoiding it.
Barnes swats away the attempt to clinch by Mcfadden.
Mcfadden defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barnes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vin Barnes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mcfadden tries to clinch
and Barnes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mcfadden won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
