Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Minotauro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Balboa Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Minotauro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Balboa Batista! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batista has closed the distance and engaged Minotauro in a clinch.
Batista gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Minotauro.

Minotauro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Batista uses from the top position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Batista pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. He has the arm isolated but Minotauro is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Batista wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Minotauro, who protects the arm well. That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Minotauro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Batista stands up and we're back to a striking position. Batista tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Minotauro paws at him with a jab and circles away. Minotauro walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Batista checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. A head kick misses from Minotauro. Batista closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Batista wants to lay and pray for a moment but Minotauro keeps working. Batista decides to stand up, so the ref orders Minotauro to his feet. Batista throws a sloppy head kick and Minotauro moves out of range easily. A punch combination from Minotauro misses. Minotauro scores a takedown into full mount! Batista is trying to escape the mount.

Minotauro shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Batista napping and manages to drive through into side control! Batista tries to buck Minotauro off but Minotauro is having none of it. Batista is holding Minotauro down, trying to stall. Batista is positioning himself to get back to half guard. A bit of a lull in the action here. Batista is not content to let Minotauro control the position. Minotauro slows the pace down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Minotauro manages to get to full guard.
