Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quazi Moto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Cormeir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moto comes to the cage accompanied by D-12 - Fight Music. Moto has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Quazi Moto has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quazi Moto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cain Cormeir! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moto cracks Cormeir with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Cormeir shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cormeir was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Cormeir sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Moto is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cormeir cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cormeir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Moto is working to get back to half guard.
Cormeir wants to control the pace but Moto is squirming around nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cormeir with a couple of short strikes. Moto tries to reverse the position but Cormeir maintains control. Cormeir connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Moto tries to hold on but Cormeir pushes him away. Cormeir lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Moto is breathing heavily. Cormeir postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Moto looks a forlorn figure.
This has been an exciting period of action! Cormeir controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cormeir cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cormeir lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cormeir tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Cormeir in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The referee warns Moto that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Cormeir lands with some strikes. Moto tries to hold on but Cormeir pushes him away. Cormeir breaks from Moto's wrist control and lands an elbow. Cormeir sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Cormeir landing punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cormeir has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Moto's face.
Cormeir scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Moto?
Cormeir content just to control the position here. Cormeir cracks Moto with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Cormeir lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Moto hang on? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Moto is bucking up trying to escape but Cormeir cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Cormeir controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cormeir lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cormeir controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Cormeir dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cormeir manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Moto on his heels. He'll look to pass Moto's guard now, I'm sure. Cormeir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moto swivels though and keeps the full guard. Moto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Cormeir looking to pass the guard. Cormeir scoring with some ground and pound. Cormeir throwing strikes but missing. Cormeir scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cormeir is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cormeir controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cormeir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Moto is keeping the position for now. Cormeir is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cormeir trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Moto manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moto stops Cormeir from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cormeir controlling Moto's posture. Cormeir wants to stand up but Moto is controlling him. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cormeir can do anything to dispel that myth. Moto won't allow Cormeir to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cain Cormeir has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Moto throws a right hand that Cormeir ducks under and follows up with a left that Cormeir also avoids with ease. Cormeir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Moto napping and manages to drive through into side control! Cormeir controls the position from side control. Moto struggling a bit here. Moto wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Cormeir trying to control the position but Moto is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moto is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Moto is not content to let Cormeir control the position. Cormeir landing strikes. Cormeir lands some shots froms side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Moto tries to buck Cormeir off but Cormeir is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moto is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cormeir has just dragged him back down to the mat. Moto tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cormeir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Moto is not content to let Cormeir control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Cormeir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Cormeir closes the distance and pushes Moto back into the cage. Moto has had enough of the clinch but Cormeir keeps him there for the moment. Cormeir is trying to trip Moto. He has hold of a leg but Moto is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cormeir persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Cormeir must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cormeir wants to control from the top but Moto keeps moving. Cormeir avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cormeir stands up over Moto, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cormeir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Moto is keeping the position for now. Cormeir is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cormeir tries to free his leg and advance position but Moto is retaining full guard. Cormeir controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Cormeir trying to control but Moto is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Cain Cormeir was stalling too much, according to the referee. Moto fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cormeir looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cormeir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Cormeir seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ground and pound from Cormeir. Cormeir content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Cormeir is looking to take a break and control but Moto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cormeir trying to advance position but Moto counters by regaining guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cormeir wants to pass the guard but Moto is keeping the position. Moto wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Moto is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cormeir is controlling him. Cormeir working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Cormeir chips away with some ground and pound. Cormeir engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cormeir stopping the sweep attempt from Moto. Cormeir has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cormeir trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cain Cormeir is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Cormeir lands a couple of decent looking shots. Moto is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moto can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cormeir controls the pace. Quazi Moto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cormeir scoring with punches to the head and body.
And that's the end of the fight! Cain Cormeir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Cormeir winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
