The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimes doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bolt counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bolt misses with a wild combination.
Grimes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bolt counters with a three punch combo that has Grimes backing up. Grimes nods at Bolt to acknowledge the strikes.
Grimes misses with a takedown attempt - Bolt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
John Bolt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Grimes.
Grimes shoots in for a takedown but Bolt shows good takedown defense.
Bolt throws a series of punches but Grimes moves out of range.
Grimes misses with a takedown
and Bolt counters with a shoot takedown. Grimes fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grimes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bolt defends it easily.
Bolt tries to stand but Grimes is controlling from the bottom.
Grimes wants to sweep here but Bolt controlling him for the moment.
Bolt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bolt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Grimes's guard.
Bolt postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bolt is posturing up here but Grimes has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Bolt tries to roll out but it's too tight and Bolt has to tap! Slick submission there by Grimes!
