Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nahkout feints and as Petrovich raises his hands in defense, Nahkout changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nahkout scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Nahkout wants to control from the top but Petrovich keeps moving.
Nahkout passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Petrovich tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nahkout wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Petrovich is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Petrovich is looking for a sweep. Nahkout is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Nahkout throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Nahkout not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Nahkout not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Nahkout thows a huge punch but Petrovich dodges it nicely.
Petrovich is not content to let Nahkout control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Nahkout scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petrovich is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nahkout creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Petrovich sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Petrovich is looking for a sweep.
Nahkout blocks the strikes from Petrovich.
Petrovich managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Nahkout.
Petrovich is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Nahkout working the head and body with strikes.
Nahkout throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Nahkout wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Petrovich, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrovich is looking for a sweep.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Petrovich parries the strikes from Nahkout easily there. Nahkout is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Petrovich to escape.
Petrovich is trying to get back to half guard.
Nahkout has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Nahkout working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Nahkout in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nahkout lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Nahkout bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nahkout looks gassed!
Nahkout trying to control the position but Petrovich is working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nahkout throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Petrovich is trying to improve his position.
Nahkout wants to lay and pray for a moment but Petrovich keeps working.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Nahkout staying out of range there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Petrovich fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nahkout shoots and misses

and Petrovich counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Petrovich.
Nahkout will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Petrovich working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Nahkout has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Petrovich should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Nahkout has tightened it up now! Petrovich should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
