Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Lam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Dunca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raymond Lam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Dunca! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lam has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Lam with a poor takedown and Dunca counters with a one-two to the body. Dunca with a nice cross. Dunca throws a right and a left that Lam avoids nicely. Dunca uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Dunca is looking to clinch but Lam is avoiding it.
Dunca pushes Lam up against the cage in a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dunca breaks the clinch.
Dunca stuffs the takedown attempt from Lam. Lam gets slowly back to his feet. Dunca displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lam. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raymond Lam. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lam defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dunca. Dunca gets in close and instigates a clinch. Lam manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Dunca decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lam, up you get!
That's one minute gone in the round. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dunca, as that shot connected.
Dunca instigates a clinch. Lam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sloppy strikes from Dunca. Those never looked like landing. Dunca fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lam avoids it really well and circles away. Lam will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dunca jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dunca scores with a body shot.
Ron Dunca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunca moves into the clinch. Dunca tries to throw a body punch but Lam avoids it by throwing Dunca back against the cage. Lam tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunca lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lam backwards. Dunca gets through Lam's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Dunca has picked Lam up - he's going for a ride! Dunca dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dunca seems to be looking for submissions.
Lam tries to roll over but Dunca keeps him under control. Dunca is stalling here. Lam is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dunca seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lam has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dunca pushes Lam away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lam gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Dunca is trying to control Lam's posture but Lam avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lam postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dunca wants to control but Lam postures up. Dunca tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lam wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dunca is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Dunca looks gassed! Dunca takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Lam fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Dunca is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Dunca looks to move to half guard but instead Lam has passed into mount! Damn! Lam is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dunca has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lam with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dunca in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lam wants to control the pace but Dunca is squirming around nicely. Dunca is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lam lands with some strikes. Dunca is in a horrible position here. Lam smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lam controlling from mount. Lam swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Raymond Lam! After winning the bout, Raymond Lam thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
