Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Manto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tanishk Soni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Manto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tanishk Soni!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manto with a poor takedown

and Soni counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tanishk Soni wasn't active enough on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because George Manto wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Soni gets a clinch.
Manto wants to take the fight to the mat but Soni manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Soni breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Soni takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

and Soni counters with a straight right hand.

Soni closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Soni has picked Manto up - he's going for a ride! Soni dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Soni is pressing down on Manto's thigh, looking to free his foot. Manto is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manto tries to get to full guard but Soni has control of the leg.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Soni is trying to stick to Manto's back but Manto is turning into Soni. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Soni's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Manto.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Soni bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Well Soni has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
