Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Enos Erikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Cable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sean Cable has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Enos Erikson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sean Cable! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erikson moves out of range as Cable strikes. A swing and a miss from Cable. Erikson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cable counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Erikson gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Erikson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Erikson misses with the ground and pound. Cable tries to get back to half guard but can't. Erikson trying to control the action but Cable is working from the bottom. Erikson is trying to get an arm triangle but Cable is defending well. Erikson trying to control the action but Cable is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erikson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cable knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Erikson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cable has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Erikson but great work by Cable. Erikson is trying to improve his position. An elbow from Cable crashes against the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Erikson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cable wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cable working the head and body with strikes. Cable trying to control the position but Erikson is working away. Erikson can't do much from the bottom here. Cable wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Erikson, who protects the arm well. Erikson is not content to let Cable control the position. Erikson gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erikson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cable's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cable's back! You can see the frustration on Cable's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Erikson patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Erikson has got his arm under Cable's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Cable has spun round into Erikson's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Erikson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Erikson is looking to get to half guard. Cable blocks Erikson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Erikson can't escape the position.
Erikson tries to hold on but Cable pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Enos Erikson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Erikson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cable to the ground. Erikson is now in Cable's guard. Cable keeping moving, preventing Erikson from controlling successfully. Erikson content to stall in guard here. Erikson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cable works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cable not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Erikson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cable defends well. Erikson looking to control.
Erikson has his foot on Cable's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cable works his way back into a safe position though. Cable working some strikes from top position. Erikson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Erikson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Cable keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Erikson is trying to control the action in half guard but Cable is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cable regains full guard. Nicely done. Cable looking to control.
Erikson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. This has been an exciting period of action! Cable pulls Erikson in close to his closed guard and prevents Erikson from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erikson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Enos Erikson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Erikson with a poor takedown and Cable counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cable misses the jab. Erikson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cable sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Erikson somewhat. Enos Erikson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Erikson looks for a takedown but Cable sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Enos Erikson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cable swings for the body but Erikson moves out of range.
No luck for Erikson with that takedown attempt. Erikson shoots and misses and Cable counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Erikson thinking. Erikson tries to bum rush Cable with a series of wild strikes but Cable uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Erikson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Erikson misses with a takedown attempt and Cable counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Erikson fails with the takedown and Cable counters with a body kick that stops Erikson in his tracks momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Erikson slips under a jab from Cable. Erikson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cable swivels and escapes. Cable throws a shot from downtown. Erikson moves away and avoids it. Cable fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Erikson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Erikson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Cable looks to land a right hand but Erikson moved out of range. Erikson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cable counters with a straight punch to the midsection. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cable bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Cable misses with a hook. Erikson ducked under it nicely. Cable lands a nice shot to the body.

A close second round but Sean Cable will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Erikson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Cable ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Cable. Erikson does a little dance to reset his feet. Cable gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cable trying to control the position.
Erikson tries to free his leg and advance position but Cable is retaining full guard. Cable avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Cable is looking for a triangle but Erikson pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Erikson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cable is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Erikson, into his guard. Erikson can't keep his opponent in guard - Cable advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Cable working Erikson over with strikes. Erikson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cable pulls his head out easily. Erikson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cable. Cable is keen to just control but Erikson is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Erikson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Cable stopping the sweep attempt from Erikson. Cable trying to control the position from guard on top but Erikson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cable wants to pass the guard but Erikson is keeping the position. Erikson looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cable connects with a couple of short punches. Cable throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cable stands and throws Erikson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cable working the body and head with strikes. Cable in side control, throwing shots but Erikson defends. Cable is putting a hurting on Erikson here, landing some big shots from side control. Cable is staying tight to Erikson's torso, preventing him from escaping. Cable wants to control for a moment but Erikson uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Cable missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Erikson moves into full guard.
Cable avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cable is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Erikson keeping moving, preventing Cable from controlling successfully. Cable is stalling in the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Erikson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that's the end of the fight! Sean Cable comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cable has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Sean Cable! In his post fight interview, Sean Cable started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
