Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darnielle avoids the head kick by Gray.
Darnielle defending well as Gray loads up on a big left hand.
A cross from Gray lands.
Gray throws a body punch but Darnielle moves out of range.
Darnielle takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Darnielle takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gray lands a right hook to the body.
David Gray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Gray misses the target.
A jab from Gray finds it's way through Darnielle's defenses.
Darnielle throws a sloppy head kick and Gray moves out of range easily.
The fighters circling - Gray throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Darnielle slips under a jab from Gray.
Gray scores with a leg kick.
Darnielle gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gray misses with an elbow strike.

Gray unloads a knee to the mid-section. Darnielle lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
A shot in the inside from Gray.
Gray misses with a punch to the body.
Darnielle pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Gray.
Darnielle avoiding damage as Gray throws knees to the body.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Darnielle.
Darnielle ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Darnielle no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Gray stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Darnielle blocks a head kick by Gray.
Gray avoids the head kick by Darnielle.
Gray with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Darnielle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gray swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Darnielle throws a leg kick but Gray moved away.
Gray stalks Darnielle and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Darnielle's face. Darnielle staggers backwards, shaken.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Darnielle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Darnielle gets tackled into the cage by Gray. Gray maintains the clinch.
Gray trying to land knees to the body.
Gray tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Darnielle avoids it.
Darnielle throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gray blocks it with crossed arms.
Gray lands a left hand.
A short uppercut from Gray.
Gray misses with a punch to the body.
Darnielle throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Darnielle jumps guard but Gray turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Darnielle tries to pull guard but Gray holds him up against the cage and eventually Darnielle drops back down to his feet.
Darnielle fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Gray looking to stall.
Darnielle throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Darnielle goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Gray blocks an uppercut.
Darnielle jumps guard.
Gray lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gray wants to control from the top but Darnielle keeps moving.
Gray is posturing up here but Darnielle has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Gray tries to roll out but it's too tight and Gray has to tap! Slick submission there by Darnielle!

John Darnielle really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that BLKOUT Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
