Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phil Watermelon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorgip Wallrium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorgip Wallrium will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil Watermelon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jorgip Wallrium! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watermelon drives through with a takedown into Wallrium's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Watermelon sitting in guard here, content to control. Wallrium utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Watermelon trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallrium is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Watermelon controls from within his opponent's guard. Wallrium trying to keep a closed guard but Watermelon is proving a slippery customer.
Watermelon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Wallrium really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Watermelon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Wallrium scores with the left hand. Watermelon knows he should have avoided that one.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Watermelon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Watermelon shoots in but no luck this time. Wallrium throws a nice outside leg kick. Wallrium forces Watermelon back against the cage and clinches. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wallrium creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Watermelon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Watermelon takes an elbow to the forehead.

Watermelon goes for a takedown attempt but Wallrium pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Watermelon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wallrium quickly recovers to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wallrium is defending against the submission attempts here by Watermelon.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Watermelon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Watermelon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Watermelon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wallrium is just riding it out for now. Watermelon eventually gives up the hold. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watermelon is looking for a kimura here.

Watermelon is trying to break the clinch but Wallrium is controlling him. Wallrium creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Wallrium misses with a knee strike.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wallrium lands an elbow that stopped Watermelon in his tracks for a moment.
Phil Watermelon's cut is getting worse. Wallrium misses with an elbow over the top. A frustrated look appears on Watermelon's face as he tries to break the clinch. Watermelon is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wallrium is keeping busy. Wallrium misses with some punches.

Wallrium pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Watermelon is looking to break free of the clinch but Wallrium has double underhooks. Watermelon is trying to push Wallrium away but Wallrium has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Watermelon manages to break the clinch.
Watermelon takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Wallrium fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Watermelon, pushing him back against the cage. Watermelon blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Watermelon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Watermelon gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Watermelon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wallrium is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Watermelon, into his guard. Wallrium trying to control but Watermelon is working from the bottom. Wallrium is fighting to break Watermelon's control of his arms but Watermelon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Wallrium wants to stand but Watermelon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watermelon pulls Wallrium in to control the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Watermelon pushes a forearm under Wallrium's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Wallrium is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
