Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kolambi Sukabo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bodies. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sukabo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silva.
Sukabo tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Sukabo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Silva connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sukabo scrambles back to his feet.
Silva's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Silva duly obliges.

and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sukabo, up you get!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Silva counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sukabo's knee momentarily.
Sukabo moves out of range of the leg kick from Silva.

Silva feints a jab promting Sukabo to slip. Silva then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sukabo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sukabo avoids it really well and circles away.
Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sukabo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sukabo's calf.

Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sukabo manages to avoid it.
Kolambi Sukabo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sukabo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sukabo.
Silva is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Silva connects with a leg kick. Sukabo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Silva bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sukabo's head backwards.
Silva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sukabo.

Silva pounces like a tiger and cracks Sukabo with a vicious hook! Sukabo is down but not out! Silva follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
