The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sumitani misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sumitani walks into a left hand.
Veterano wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A slow jab from Sumitani misses its intended target.
Veterano scores with a hook to the body. Sumitani takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Veterano throws a big shot that misses.
Sumitani fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Veterano manages to avoid it.
Sloppy strikes from Sumitani. Those never looked like landing.

It looks like Masaki Sumitani has been cut.
Veterano misses with a double jab.

Some bone on bone action there as Veterano checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sumitani tries to score with a low kick but Veterano moves his leg out of the way.
Sumitani gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sumitani throws an overhand right that lands on Veterano's shoulder, as Veterano tries to avoid the shot.
Veterano comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Veterano lands a nice hook to Sumitani's body. Sumitani takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A combination from Veterano does no damage.
Veterano cracks Sumitani with a good jab.
Sumitani is looking to score with low kicks.
A jab from Veterano does it's job there.
Veterano moves into range and connects with a jab.
Sumitani takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Sumitani counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Veterano lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Marcelo Veterano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Veterano connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Sumitani! He's out on his feet! Veterano rushes in and drops Sumitani with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
