Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, val garcia! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by garcia. Zaretski drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zaretski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zaretski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Zaretski wants to control but garcia is keeping him busy. Zaretski moves into full mount! Zaretski with shots to the head and body - garcia looks very uncomfortable down there. garcia is trying desperately to improve position. garcia prevents Zaretski from taking his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zaretski avoids the attempt from garcia to control.

garcia is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. garcia blocking the ground and pound. garcia is squirming around, avoiding Zaretski's attempts to control the action. garcia takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Zaretski looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. garcia is trying to escape the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. garcia taking shots to the head. Zaretski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Zaretski working for the choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. garcia trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. garcia defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Zaretski's arms. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zaretski gets his hands free as garcia looks to control. Zaretski lands strikes to the head. garcia is trying to defend against the choke here but Zaretski has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Zaretski Tightens the hold and garcia taps out furiously! Zaretski displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
