Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick van Greeven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruiner Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). van Greeven's entrance music is Tom Waits - Telephone call from Istanbul. A fine choice. Barnett has chosen canceled forever 125 as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett lands a nice leg kick that just misses van Greeven's sensitive parts.
van Greeven fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Barnett to the ground. van Greeven is now in Barnett's guard.
Barnett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. van Greeven is aware though and is defending well.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as van Greeven accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Barnett wants to stand and escape but van Greeven is having none of it.
van Greeven postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
van Greeven not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
This has been an exciting period of action!
van Greeven is looking to work some ground and pound but Barnett has wrist control.
Barnett is trying to keep van Greeven in close.

Barnett looking for a sweep. Not yet Barnett, not yet.
van Greeven slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Barnett manages to get back to half guard.
van Greeven trying to control the pace.
van Greeven prevents Barnett from improving his position.

van Greeven throwing shots but Barnett is blocking nicely.
Barnett is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of van Greeven's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take van Greeven's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
van Greeven trying to control the hands but Barnett won't let him.
Barnett doesn't have the hooks in and van Greeven manages to turn into his guard.
Barnett pushes a forearm under van Greeven's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, van Greeven is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ruiner Barnett!
Ruiner Barnett decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
