The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans moves into the clinch successfully.
Evans lands a right hand that snaps the head of Atomic backwards.
Atomic jumps guard but Evans stands there with Atomic around his waist. Atomic gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Atomic tries to score a body lock takedown but Evans shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Atomic tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Atomic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Atomic struggles to land a body shot inside as Evans controls his hands.
Atomic jumps into guard, dragging Evans to the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
