The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belforte shoots in looking for a takedown. Tiempo tries to sprawl out of it but Belforte keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tiempo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tiempo looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Tiempo with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tiempo chips away with some ground and pound.
Tiempo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Tiempo tries to free his leg and advance position but Belforte is retaining full guard.

Tiempo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Tiempo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Tiempo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Belforte on the ground.
Tiempo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Tiempo is nestled in close to Belforte, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Tiempo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Belforte swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Belforte wants to sweep but no luck.

Belforte has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tiempo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Tiempo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Belforte is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Tiempo frees his head nicely. Oh but Belforte has switched to an armbar! Tiempo is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
