PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tanto Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan comes to the cage accompanied by Kamikaze Kush- War Cry. Tanto Khan has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tanto Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Rabbit!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabbit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Rabbit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Khan scores with a nice right hand.
Rabbit avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rabbit tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rabbit misses with a looping left.
Khan throws a left and a right that both miss

and Rabbit counters with a nice double leg into side control. Khan won't be happy with that.
Rabbit tries to advance to mount but Khan denies him.
Khan is letting Rabbit control him for a moment.
Rabbit trying to control the position but Khan is working away.
Khan dodges the ground and pound from Rabbit.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan is looking to reverse the position.
Rabbit controlling the position.
Rabbit scores with punches from side control.
Rabbit lands a few punches from side control.
Rabbit advances to full mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rabbit looking to control but Khan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Rabbit is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Khan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Khan shrugs it off.
The referee warns Khan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Rabbit connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Khan defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rabbit.
Khan is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rabbit raining down shots from the mount!
Rabbit breaks from Khan's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Rabbit misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rabbit landing strikes from the mount and Khan is in trouble!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Khan is in a horrible position here. Rabbit smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Rabbit takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rabbit's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Rabbit has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rabbit looking to control but Khan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Rabbit dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rabbit throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Khan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Khan lands a lovely overhand right.
Tanto Khan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Rabbit looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Khan!
Khan is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Rabbit controlling from mount.

Rabbit with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan tries to hold on but Rabbit postures up.
Poor strikes thrown by Rabbit there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Khan avoids a series of strikes thrown by Rabbit.
Khan is squirming around, avoiding Rabbit's attempts to control the action.

Rabbit is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Khan is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Roger Rabbit!
Our winner, Roger Rabbit, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
