Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Lam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Szarafin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Szarafin has chosen PC PARK - KLATKA! as his entrance music. Raymond Lam could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Igor Szarafin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raymond Lam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Igor Szarafin! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Szarafin tries to clinch but fails miserably and Lam counters by clinching up. Lam works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Szarafin working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lam has passed into half guard!
Szarafin on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Lam with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Lam not landing any meaningful shots this time. Szarafin is trying to control but can't.
Lam is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Szarafin sees it coming and defends easily. Lam will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Szarafin wants to control but Lam is keeping busy and won't allow it. Szarafin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Szarafin wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lam controlling the pace. Lam seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lam controlling the action here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Szarafin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lam swats him away and circles back towards the center. Szarafin wants to clinch but Lam slips to the side and Lam counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Lam working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lam is thwarting Szarafin's attempts to control the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lam lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lam is taking a breather. Szarafin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Szarafin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lam scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lam seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Ground and pound from Lam. Lam perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Szarafin is trying to stand.
Lam takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Raymond Lam just wasn't active enough. Szarafin wants to clinch. Lam clinches up against the cage. Szarafin keeps control of Lam as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Szarafin tries to break free but Lam pushes him back against the cage. Lam has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Szarafin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lam tightening his grip on Szarafin, looking for the choke. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lam connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Szarafin to escape the position.
Szarafin trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Lam biding his time, controlling Szarafin. Szarafin is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lam lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raymond Lam dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Szarafin tries to clinch but Lam moves away and Lam moves into the clinch. Szarafin is looking to take this one to the mat. Szarafin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Szarafin wants to take the fight to the mat but Lam manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Raymond Lam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Szarafin. Lam has had enough of the clinch but Szarafin keeps him there for the moment. Szarafin throws a head punch that misses. Lam has Szarafin pressed against the cage.
Lam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Raymond Lam is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Szarafin has a takedown stuffed. Igor Szarafin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lam moves into the clinch. Szarafin lands a nice shot to the body. Szarafin is trying to pull guard but Lam turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lam wants to stall.
Szarafin jumps guard and drags Lam to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Lam controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Lam slips nicely into half guard. Lam has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Szarafin taking some punishment here, with Lam in his half guard. Lam throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Lam works his foot free and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Szarafin has left one of his arms exposed and Lam doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Szarafin screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Raymond Lam! Our winner, Raymond Lam, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
