Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Hammonds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hammonds's choice of entrance music: Bad Meets Evil - Fast Lane ft. Eminem, Royce Da 5'9. The key to victory for Wanderlei Silva has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries for a takedown but Hammonds sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva misses with a wild body shot.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Hammonds. Hammonds gets slowly back to his feet.
Hammonds will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silva wants to clinch up but Hammonds keeps it at a distance.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammonds swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hammonds drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hammonds must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Hammonds is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
