Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Juaquin Oreilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oreilly kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is sandman. Gracie has chosen Kottonmouth Kings presents: Richter - Lets Go as his entrance music. Juaquin Oreilly could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Carlos Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Juaquin Oreilly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carlos Gracie! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oreilly closes the distance and pushes Gracie back into the cage. Oreilly unloads a knee to the mid-section. Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Oreilly avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Oreilly working Gracie over with knees to the body. Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Oreilly pulls his leg out and moves away.
Oreilly fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Oreilly is now in Gracie's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Oreilly missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oreilly is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Gracie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Oreilly is in close to Gracie's body, working some short punches and elbows. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gracie wants to sweep but no luck. Oreilly in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gracie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Oreilly scoring with punches to the head and body. Oreilly throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie keeping full guard, as Oreilly tries to pass. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gracie working a defensive guard here.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oreilly's guard. Gracie trying to control but Oreilly is working from the bottom. Gracie advances position into side control! Oreilly is trying to buck Gracie off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oreilly keeps working. Oreilly is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but Oreilly is defending well. Oreilly is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gracie asserts his dominance and retains side control. Gracie trying to control the action but Oreilly is working from the bottom. Oreilly is pushing Gracie's head away, looking to escape. Gracie manages to hold on to the position though. Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gracie passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Oreilly!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie trying to control but Oreilly is having none of it. Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Oreilly is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie. Gracie wants to control the pace but Oreilly is squirming around nicely. Oreilly is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie working for a guillotine from mount but Oreilly is in no mood to give up. Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Oreilly sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Oreilly scores with a takedown into Gracie's guard. Gracie wants to sweep but no luck. Oreilly throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Oreilly stopping the sweep attempt from Gracie. Oreilly landing some decent shots from guard. Oreilly cracks Gracie with a solid left hand. Gracie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carlos Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far. Oreilly wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position. Gracie is trying to control the position but Oreilly postures up. Oreilly is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oreilly accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Oreilly has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Oreilly postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Oreilly distracts Gracie with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Oreilly trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gracie's guard. Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Oreilly missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gracie is trying to control the position but Oreilly postures up. Oreilly really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Oreilly throws a big right hand that misses. Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Oreilly is proving a slippery customer.
Oreilly with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Gracie trying to control the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Carlos Gracie wasn't active enough on the ground. Oreilly is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gracie's half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are battling for position here. Gracie manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Oreilly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Gracie controlling the position easily from mount. Gracie is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Oreilly is in real trouble.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Oreilly has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
A lull in the action here.
Gracie is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Oreilly defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Gracie wants to control but Oreilly is keeping busy. Gracie just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oreilly is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Gracie gets his way!
Gracie tries to get the hooks in deep but Oreilly pushed the leg off. Gracie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Oreilly kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Gracie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie is hanging on to Oreilly's back as he tries to escape.

Carlos Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Oreilly's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt. Excellent takedown into side control there by Oreilly. Gracie manages to work his way to half guard, despite Oreilly's best efforts. Oreilly scoring with strikes to the body and head. Oreilly not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Oreilly looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gracie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Oreilly is working away from the top position though. Gracie gets full guard. Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Oreilly defends it easily. Oreilly trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Oreilly working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oreilly's guard.

Juaquin Oreilly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Gracie. Oreilly has hold of one of Gracie's legs. Gracie is fighting the takedown attempt but Oreilly gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Oreilly's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oreilly can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Oreilly lands a couple of elbows. Oreilly trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Gracie pulls Oreilly in close to prevent any damage. Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oreilly's guard. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Oreilly is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oreilly has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Oreilly's legs - danger averted. This has been an exciting period of action! Gracie passes into half guard. Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.
Carlos Gracie is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Gracie perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Juaquin Oreilly has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie is keen to just control but Oreilly is a slippery customer.
