Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Carnauba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Aldo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Carnauba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Aldo! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carnauba to the ground. Aldo is now in Carnauba's guard. Carnauba might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Aldo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Carnauba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Aldo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carnauba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carnauba is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Carnauba wants to stand but Aldo is controlling the position. Aldo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Carnauba pulls Aldo in to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carnauba wants to stand and escape but Aldo is having none of it. Aldo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Carnauba looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Carnauba throws a head kick but Aldo moves out of range.
Carnauba scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Carnauba moves nicely into side control. Carnauba thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Aldo wants to control but Carnauba postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carnauba is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Carnauba trying to control the position but Aldo is working away. Carnauba has hold of Aldo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Aldo seems comfortable defending it but Carnauba has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Aldo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Aldo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Carnauba couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rodrigo Carnauba!
