Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boss Quatro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Changa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boss Quatro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boss Quatro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Changa! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Changa tries to bum rush Quatro with a series of wild strikes but Quatro uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Changa throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A left and a right from Quatro both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Jimmy Changa has been cut. Jimmy Changa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Quatro feints and as Changa raises his hands in defense, Quatro changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Changa wants to get back to his feet but Quatro is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Quatro looking to pass the guard. Quatro trying to control the position from guard on top but Changa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Changa is trying to control the position but Quatro postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Quatro on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Changa tries to clinch up. Quatro wants to clinch. Changa fails to land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Changa lands a nice shot that snaps Quatro's head back.
Changa throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Changa moves into the clinch. Changa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Changa swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Quatro counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Changa looks gassed! Quatro trying to control the position from guard on top but Changa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Quatro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Quatro postures up in Changa's guard and throws a big left but Changa blocks it. Changa wants to stand and escape but Quatro is having none of it. Quatro working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Changa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Quatro looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quatro drops back looking for a leg! Changa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Changa manages to kick Quatro off! Quatro jumps back into Changa's guard. Quatro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Quatro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Quatro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Changa swivels though and keeps the full guard. Quatro wants to control from the top but Changa keeps moving. Changa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Changa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Quatro stays in close to Changa's body and controls the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Quatro stops Changa from standing up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Boss Quatro just wasn't active enough. Quatro closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Changa did well to prevent Quatro getting side control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Quatro is trying to control the action in half guard but Changa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Changa wants to get back to full guard. Quatro is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Changa looks like he's trying to stand up.

Boss Quatro has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Quatro shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Changa napping and manages to drive through into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Changa explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Jimmy Changa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Quatro shoots in and bounces Changa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Quatro postures up and lands a big shot to Changa's brow. Changa keeping moving, preventing Quatro from controlling successfully. Quatro looking to pass the guard. Changa pushes Quatro off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Quatro closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Changa is trying to escape the position but Quatro is controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boss Quatro dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jimmy Changa's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Changa throws a right hand that Quatro ducks under and follows up with a left that Quatro also avoids with ease. Quatro fails with a takedown attempt. Quatro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Changa as he avoids it easily. Changa throws a front kick that sends Quatro stumbling back into the cage. Quatro takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Changa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice takedown defense from Changa. No joy for Quatro on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boss Quatro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Quatro takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Changa scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Changa throws a series of punches but Quatro avoids them all with ease. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Changa tries to bum rush Quatro with a series of wild strikes but Quatro uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Quatro has a takedown stuffed. Changa throws a right hand that Quatro ducks under and follows up with a left that Quatro also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Changa connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Changa throws a series of punches but Quatro avoids them all with ease. Changa is looking to land body kicks. Quatro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Changa as he jumps to the side. Quatro shoots in looking for a takedown but Changa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Quatro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Quatro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Changa looks to land a combination but Quatro avoids it well. Changa leaves Quatro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Changa scores with a three punch combo!
Horrible takedown by Quatro or perhaps it was just good defense by Changa which made him look bad. Changa moves in looking to clinch but Quatro pushes him off.

Quatro fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A combination from Changa does no damage. Changa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Changa wants it to stay on the feet. Changa misses with a few strikes there.
Quatro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Changa avoids it really well and circles away. Changa throws a right hand that Quatro ducks under and follows up with a left that Quatro also avoids with ease. Changa goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Changa slaps away a takedown attempt from Quatro, before circling back to the center of the mat. Changa is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Quatro shoots in for a takedown but Changa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Boss Quatro overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Quatro trying to control but Changa is working from the bottom. Let's see if Changa can do anything to dispel that myth. Quatro wants to pass the guard but Changa is keeping the position. Changa manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Changa throws a right and a left that Quatro avoids nicely. Quatro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Changa's guard. Quatro might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Changa trying to keep a closed guard but Quatro is proving a slippery customer.

Jimmy Changa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jimmy Changa's cut. That's time! Quatro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Changa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. No luck with that takedown attempt from Quatro. Quatro shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Changa on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Changa is looking for a sweep. Quatro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Changa looks like he's trying to stand up.
Quatro passes to side control. Changa tries to escape but Quatro is in control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quatro cracks Changa with an elbow. That is naaassty. Quatro is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Changa has escaped the position, nice work there. Quatro scoring with punches from side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Quatro wants to control but Changa is keeping him busy. Changa takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Quatro decides to stand back up. Quatro steps back and let's Changa get back to his feet. Changa misses with a wild combination.
Quatro closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Changa's guard.

Quatro wants to pass the guard but Changa is keeping the position. Changa is looking to stand up but Quatro isn't so interested in that idea. Changa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Quatro trying to control the position from guard on top but Changa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
We're going to have a standup here because Boss Quatro wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Changa gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Quatro is standing up over Changa. Changa looks to escape but Quatro dives into side control.
Changa struggling a bit here. Quatro is putting a hurting on Changa here, landing some big shots from side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Changa is looking to reverse the position. Changa is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
