2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Barney Ross! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chojacki keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ross. Nice defenses there by Chojacki. Ross misses with a body shot.
Jab by Ross. Ross throws a hook but Chojacki avoids it easily. Chojacki really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chojacki has Ross up against the cage in a clinch.

Ross lands with a good body shot. Ross misses with a hook. Chojacki ducked under it nicely. Chojacki gets a double leg takedown into Ross's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ross is looking to stand up but Chojacki isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chojacki throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chojacki trying to control but Ross is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chojacki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ross as he jumps to the side. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. No luck for Chojacki with that takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Barney Ross will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Chojacki fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ross avoids it really well and circles away. Ross fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ross is trying to break the clinch but Chojacki has him pressed against the cage. Chojacki wants the takedown. Ross is fighting it off but Chojacki persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ross's guard against the cage. Ross keeping moving, preventing Chojacki from controlling successfully. Ross avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's better than Chojacki was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Chojacki putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Ross is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Chojacki working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Chojacki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Chojacki misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

and Chojacki counters with a nice double leg into guard. Chojacki distracts Ross with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Chojacki slips nicely into half guard. Chojacki thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chojacki looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chojacki connects with a nice short shot to Ross's temple. Chojacki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ross does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Chojacki is controlling the pace.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chojacki wants to pass the guard but Ross is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Shane Chojacki wasn't doing enough on the ground. Chojacki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ross counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Ross displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chojacki. Chojacki fails with a takedown attempt from distance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chojacki has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chojacki there as he acknowledges the shot. Chojacki with a poor takedown and Ross counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Chojacki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that's the end of the fight! Shane Chojacki showed his dominance in that final round. I think Chojacki has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
