Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edilson Rubiera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Montillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubiera comes to the cage accompanied by ratamahatta. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edilson Rubiera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jean Montillo! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montillo tries to bum rush Rubiera with a series of wild strikes but Rubiera uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Montillo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Montillo thuds a left hand into Rubiera's body. Montillo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rubiera to score an easy takedown into full guard. Montillo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rubiera defends well. Montillo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Montillo is looking for a triangle but Rubiera pushes his legs off easily.
Montillo can't keep his opponent in guard - Rubiera advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Montillo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rubiera works his way into side control. Montillo is trying to improve his position. Montillo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rubiera trying to control the action but Montillo is working from the bottom. Rubiera lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Montillo down.
Rubiera advances to full mount. Rubiera lands a big shot there that rocks Montillo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rubiera prevents Montillo from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rubiera connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Rubiera looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Rubiera trying to control but Montillo is having none of it. Montillo really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Rubiera raining down hammerfists from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rubiera prevents Montillo from getting the reversal. Rubiera cracks Montillo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Montillo is in a horrible position here. Rubiera smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Montillo is looking to improve his position but Rubiera isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rubiera lands a big elbow - Montillo is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Montillo is forced to tap out!
