The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is looking to clinch but Anufriev is avoiding it.
Anufriev slips under a jab from Silva.
Silva instigates a clinch.
Silva lands on the inside with an uppercut.
With the fighters up against the cage, Silva throws an elbow but misses.
Anufriev dodges an elbow strike from Silva.
Silva swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Silva doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Anufriev has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Silva after a bit of a struggle.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Silva.
It looks like Maksim Anufriev has been cut.
Anufriev takes an elbow to the forehead.
Maksim Anufriev's cut is getting worse.
Anufriev wants to take the fight to the mat but Silva manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Silva lands an elbow that stopped Anufriev in his tracks for a moment.
Silva lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Maksim Anufriev's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anufriev has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maksim Anufriev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Anufriev's defenses.
Jeez, Maksim Anufriev's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
