Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Locker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Hightower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Chris Locker has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Locker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thor Hightower!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Locker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hightower fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Locker lands a glancing blow to the side of Hightower's head.
Locker moves out of range as Hightower strikes.
A punch combination from Hightower misses.
Locker stalks Hightower and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hightower's face. Hightower staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Thor Hightower has been cut.
Locker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hightower moves away.
Hightower swinging wildly here.
Hightower misses with a double jab.
Locker looks to land a combination but Hightower avoids it well.
Locker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hightower misses with a wild combination.
Locker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Locker.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hightower takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Locker tries to bum rush Hightower with a series of wild strikes but Hightower uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hightower misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sloppy strikes from Locker. Those never looked like landing.
Locker lands a body shot.
Hightower fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Locker avoids it really well and circles away.
Chris Locker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thor Hightower.
Locker dips to his left and cracks Hightower with an uppercut!
Hightower throws a right hand that Locker ducks under and follows up with a left that Locker also avoids with ease.
Locker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Locker throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Locker lands with an uppercut that bounces Hightower off the cage and back into range.
Locker throws a right and a left that Hightower avoids nicely.
Locker throws a nice looking combination but Hightower bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Locker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Locker jabs Hightower right on the nose. Hightower blinks but takes it well.
Chris Locker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Locker dodges the punch combination from Hightower.

Hightower throws a right hand that Locker ducks under and follows up with a left that Locker also avoids with ease.
Hightower has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Hightower throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Locker's waist but Locker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hightower off to one side.
Hightower walks into a stiff left hand from Locker.
Hightower takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hightower takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hightower is trying desperately to land a takedown but Locker is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hightower.
Hightower drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Locker wants to stand but Hightower is controlling the position.

Hightower slips nicely into half guard.
Hightower is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Locker is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Thor Hightower!
After the fight, Thor Hightower was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
