Barnett comes to the cage accompanied by canceled forever 125. Marko has chosen Get Back - Ludacris as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marko works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Barnett connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Cain Marko has been cut.

Barnett walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ruiner Barnett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marko looks to throw the jab but Barnett is out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A looping hook to the body misses from Barnett. Marko does a little dance to reset his feet.
Barnett swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Marko on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barnett looks to throw the jab but Marko is out of range.

Marko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Barnett pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Barnett throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Marko misses with a low kick as Barnett jumps back.
Marko throws a hook but Barnett blocks it.

Marko goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Marko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Marko lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Barnett takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Barnett throws the left hand but Marko avoids the punch easily.
Marko thuds a left hand into Barnett's body.
Barnett doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Barnett is breathing heavily.
Marko lands with a cross.
A nice inside leg kick there by Marko. That's going to slow Barnett down.
Barnett misses with a lunging right hand
and Marko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barnett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barnett throws a right hand that misses
and Marko counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Barnett on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Barnett throws a hook but Marko blocks it.
Marko swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Barnett.
Marko lands with a thumping leg kick.
Barnett has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marko finds it's way round the side to connect with Barnett's head.
Marko wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barnett walks into a straight right hand from Marko.
Marko fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Barnett doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Oooooh!!! Marko has knocked Barnett down with a huge combo! Marko steps away and waves a wobbly Barnett back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Ruiner Barnett has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Marko lands with a hook. Barnett tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Barnett takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Marko cracks Barnett with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Marko is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Marko sends Barnett crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Marko is motioning to the referee to let Barnett up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Barnett is rocked!
Barnett walks forward, straight into a front kick from Marko.
Oh Barnett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Marko has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Marko throws a nice outside leg kick.
Barnett seems to have got his legs back now.
Marko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Marko feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Barnett sprawling to the canvas! Barnett rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Marko finish him?!
Marko throws a powerful right kick. Barnett tried to block low but the kick was high! Barnett was taken right off of his feet! Marko jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Cain Marko!
During a confident post fight interview, Cain Marko thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
