PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Ciro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ciro kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Back down. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ciro is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard.
Jones is trying to control but can't.
Ciro content to control rather than advance.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Tom Ciro has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ciro falls off balance throwing a combination

Ciro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ciro closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.

Jones is looking for a triangle but Ciro pushes his legs off easily.

Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ciro defends well.

Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ciro escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Jones seems a little lost for a moment, as Ciro dominates the positioning.

Jones has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ciro after a bit of a struggle.

Ciro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Ciro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ciro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ciro rolls with it to try and escape but Jones cranks on the arm and Ciro is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
