Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Suzuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jethro Sherdog!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Suzuki throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sherdog was covering up waiting for the punch and Suzuki finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sherdog keeping full guard, as Suzuki tries to pass.

Sherdog is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sherdog looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sherdog working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Suzuki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Suzuki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sherdog looking for a guillotine here but Suzuki defends easily.
Suzuki slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Suzuki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Sherdog looking to hit a scissor sweep but Suzuki is one step ahead there.
Suzuki trying to control but Sherdog is working from the bottom.
Suzuki looking to pass the guard.

Sherdog is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Suzuki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sherdog is keeping the position for now.
Suzuki slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sherdog working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Suzuki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Suzuki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Suzuki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sherdog has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Suzuki has managed to get both his arms back between Sherdog's legs - danger averted.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Sherdog has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Suzuki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Suzuki wants to control from the top but Sherdog keeps moving.
Suzuki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Sherdog lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Suzuki!

Sherdog working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Suzuki is trying to escape the mount.

Sherdog is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Suzuki has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Suzuki is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sherdog looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Suzuki is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sherdog avoids the attempt from Suzuki to control.

Sherdog looking to secure an arm triangle but Suzuki defends it well.

Sherdog is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Suzuki has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Sherdog looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Suzuki working to try and regain half guard.
Suzuki tries to hold on but Sherdog pushes him away.

Suzuki has left one of his arms exposed and Sherdog doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Suzuki screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
