Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edson Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Quim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Perry might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shadow of the Day. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edson Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jimmy Quim!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quim lands with a cross.
Perry lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Quim circles away quickly and effectively.

Perry postures up in Quim's guard and throws a big left but Quim blocks it.

Perry gets to his feet. Quim looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Quim feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Quim drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Perry manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Quim has Perry in his guard.

Quim pushes Perry off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Quim, right into the meat.
Quim looks for a takedown but Perry sprawls well.

Quim takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jimmy Quim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Quim shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Perry napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Jimmy Quim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Quim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Quim somewhat.

Our winner, Jimmy Quim, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
