Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Firus Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Lloyed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fuel-Hemorrhage. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Firus Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Josh Lloyed!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Williams looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Williams's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lloyed connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Williams scrambles back to his feet.

Williams moves into range and clinches up with Lloyed.
Lloyed fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Williams lands a damaging elbow.

Williams tightens his grip and picks Lloyed up, before dumping him to the ground. Lloyed manages to land in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Lloyed is retaining full guard.
Williams throws a big right hand that misses.
Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lloyed swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but Lloyed has wrist control.
Lloyed avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Williams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Williams is in close to Lloyed's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lloyed pulls Williams in close to his closed guard and prevents Williams from doing any damage or advancing position.

Lloyed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Williams postures up in Lloyed's guard and throws a big left but Lloyed blocks it.

Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lloyed is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Williams scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lloyed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Williams throws a nice looking combination but Lloyed bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lloyed lands with a nice combination. Williams backs away looking to recover.
Williams dives in and grabs Lloyed's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lloyed pushes down on Williams's head and hops out.

Firus Williams overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Williams is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lloyed has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though.
Lloyed is not content to let Williams control the position.

Williams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lloyed is just riding it out for now. Williams eventually gives up the hold.

Williams is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Williams seems to be working for a kimura but Lloyed defends the submission attempt.

Williams lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Lloyed is positioning himself well to prevent Williams advancing to mount.
Williams slips a nice elbow through Lloyed's hands, connecting with Lloyed's forehead.

Lloyed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Williams lands a good knee to the midsection. Lloyed won't want to take too many of those.

Williams has hold of one of Lloyed's legs. Lloyed is fighting the takedown attempt but Williams gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Lloyed still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Lloyed has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Williams, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Firus Williams decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
