Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maester Ochu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Badridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ochu comes into the arena with Clutch - The Incomparable Mr. Flannery blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maester Ochu! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Barry Badridge! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ochu misses with a few strikes there.
Ochu circles away from the clinch attempt.
Badridge misses with an uppercut. Ochu throws a leg kick but Badridge moved away. Ochu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ochu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Badridge tries to clinch and Ochu counters with a nice body shot. Ochu throws a looping overhand right but Badridge ducks down to avoid it. Ochu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Badridge takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Ochu scores with a three punch combo!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Badridge misses with a takedown attempt - Ochu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Badridge changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ochu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ochu wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ochu manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ochu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Badridge moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Ochu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ochu content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Badridge has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Ochu engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ochu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Maester Ochu has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ochu fails to land with a series of punches.
A swing and a miss from Badridge. Ochu misses with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Ochu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ochu throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ochu moves away from the strike by Badridge. Badridge misses with an uppercut. Ochu throws a shot from downtown. Badridge moves away and avoids it. Badridge throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Badridge walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ochu checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Badridge tries to clinch but Ochu is having none of it. Ochu throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Maester Ochu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ochu throws an overhand right that lands on Badridge's shoulder, as Badridge tries to avoid the shot. Ochu throws the left hand but Badridge avoids the punch easily. Ochu connects with a crisp jab. Ochu throws a right and a left that Badridge avoids nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ochu wants to land a leg kick but Badridge is out of range. Badridge walks into a jab. Ochu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Badridge shoots for a double leg takedown but Ochu sprawls well. He's pushed Badridge's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Badridge tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ochu counters with a left and a right that stings Badridge. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Badridge thows a left - swing and a miss! Ochu scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Badridge misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Maester Ochu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry Badridge. Badridge keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Badridge dives in and grabs Ochu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ochu pushes down on Badridge's head and hops out. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Badridge is defended easily by Ochu. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maester Ochu dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ochu throws a jab but it's blocked by Badridge. A slow jab from Badridge misses its intended target. Ochu throws a combination. Badridge tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Ochu bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. The fighters circling - Ochu throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ochu connects with a leg kick. Badridge looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Ochu gets in close and tags Badridge with a short punch that almost sends Badridge to the mat! Oh Badridge is in big trouble! He turns his back on Ochu, trying to create some distance but Ochu rushes him, striking wildly and Badridge goes down! The referee tackles Ochu into the cage to end the fight! Ochu is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maester Ochu! Maester Ochu is the new middleweight champion! Maester Ochu decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
