Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mustafa Suhaim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urn Chic!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suhaim gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Chic to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Chic working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Suhaim's head.
It looks like Mustafa Suhaim has been cut.
Chic scoring with some ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chic is looking to work some ground and pound but Suhaim has wrist control.
Chic distracts Suhaim with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Chic with a flurry of punches that miss.
Chic stands up over Suhaim, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Chic throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Suhaim works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Chic lands a couple of digs.
Suhaim is rocked!
Suhaim can't keep his opponent in guard - Chic advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chic connects with a nice short shot to Suhaim's temple.
Oh Suhaim is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chic lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Suhaim quite badly. Suhaim pulls Chic in close trying to recover. Chic postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Suhaim on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Suhaim doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Urn Chic!
Urn Chic decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
