Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Markus Serdal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Blue Stahli-ULTRAnumb. Markus Serdal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Markus Serdal! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Serdal looks to land a combination but Alves avoids it well. Alves fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Serdal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Alves sprawls well initially but Serdal persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Serdal looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Serdal is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alves doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Serdal. Alves is defending against the submission attempts here by Serdal.

Markus Serdal dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Serdal throws a head kick that misses and Alves makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Alves cracks Serdal with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Serdal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alves avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Alves counters with a right hand to the body. Alves fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Serdal has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alves scores with a leg kick.

Alves jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A combination from Alves does no damage. Both fighters circling a little - Alves finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Alves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Serdal. Alves throws a series of punches but Serdal avoids them all with ease. Serdal is breathing heavily. A big left from Serdal misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serdal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Alves throws a monster overhand right that drops Serdal! Alves follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
