Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Redmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ipad Dsix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ipad Dsix was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nathan Redmond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ipad Dsix! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redmond throws a right hand that Dsix ducks under and follows up with a left that Dsix also avoids with ease. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Redmond misses with a double jab.
Redmond will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Horrible takedown by Redmond or perhaps it was just good defense by Dsix which made him look bad. Ipad Dsix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Redmond avoids the body shot from Dsix.
Dsix misses with a wild body shot. Redmond closes the distance and clinches. Dsix can't break the clinch.
Redmond prevents Dsix from breaking the clinch. Redmond keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dsix's efforts to push away. A frustrated look appears on Dsix's face as he tries to break the clinch. Dsix is trying to force a seperation but Redmond has the dominant position. A short right hand to the side of the head by Redmond. Redmond has Dsix pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dsix manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Redmond. That's going to take a lot out of him. Redmond prevents Dsix from breaking the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dsix tries to circle away but Redmond has him pinned against the cage. Redmond keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dsix's efforts to push away. Dsix goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Dsix connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Redmond's hands. Dsix with a body punch. A glancing blow. Dsix misses with a wild combination.
Redmond looks to land a combination but Dsix avoids it well. Redmond getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Redmond shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dsix defends it nicely. Dsix misses the shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redmond shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Redmond will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Redmond trying to mount his opponent but Dsix defends it. Redmond slows the pace down in half guard. Redmond thows a huge punch but Dsix dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Redmond wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dsix keeps working. Redmond controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nathan Redmond has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Dsix connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Redmond with a hook. Dsix throws a series of punches but Redmond moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dsix digs a good body shot into Redmond's ribs. Redmond throws a nice looking combination but Dsix bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Redmond throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dsix. Dsix throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Nice defenses there by Redmond. Redmond stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Redmond scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Redmond in side control, throwing shots but Dsix defends. Redmond misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Redmond taking a breather here. Redmond lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dsix keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Redmond looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. That's one minute gone in the round. Dsix avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Redmond. Redmond throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Redmond winds up and cracks Dsix with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Redmond is trying to work for a kimura but Dsix is defending well.

Redmond is trying to control the action in half guard but Dsix is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Redmond sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dsix defending well though. Dsix scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Redmond manages to mount him!
Redmond lands a big elbow. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dsix can do anything to dispel that myth. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Redmond with good strikes from the mount here!

Redmond won't let Dsix get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Dsix is breathing heavily. Dsix in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Dsix is in a horrible position here. Redmond smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Redmond sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Redmond controlling the position easily from mount. Redmond is landing with some decent strikes but Dsix is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathan Redmond dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Ipad Dsix's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Redmond cracks Dsix with an open hand slap. A looping hook to the body misses from Dsix. Redmond does a little dance to reset his feet. Dsix is looking to land body kicks. Dsix throws an overhand right that lands on Redmond's shoulder, as Redmond tries to avoid the shot. Dsix looks to score with a jab to the body but Redmond is just out of range. Redmond shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dsix stuffs the takedown attempt from Redmond. Redmond gets slowly back to his feet. Redmond shoots in looking for a takedown but Dsix manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Redmond's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Redmond. That's going to take a lot out of him. Redmond looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dsix misses with the body kick and Redmond counters with a straight right hand. Good exchange - Redmond coming out on top. Dsix lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Redmond circles away quickly and effectively. Horrible takedown by Redmond or perhaps it was just good defense by Dsix which made him look bad. Redmond shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Redmond showed some decent athleticism there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Redmond throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Redmond missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Redmond thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dsix's head. Redmond moves into full mount! Dsix won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redmond sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Redmond misses with a head shot. Redmond looking to control but Dsix is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Redmond with the ground and pound from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Dsix that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Nathan Redmond overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dsix is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Redmond looking to control and managing it successfully. Redmond has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathan Redmond showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Redmond, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
