Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gareth Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dos Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit. Gareth Lewis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gareth Lewis! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dos Santos looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Dos Santos jumps guard but Lewis stands there with Dos Santos around his waist. Dos Santos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lewis gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Lewis trying to control from half guard but Dos Santos is working away. Lewis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dos Santos doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lewis. Lewis scoring with strikes to the body and head. Lewis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lewis looking to control and managing it successfully.

Dos Santos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lewis looking to control but Dos Santos is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lewis looking to secure an arm triangle but Dos Santos defends it well. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lewis looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Lewis get's back to his feet. Lewis closes the distance and pushes Dos Santos back into the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Lewis pulls Dos Santos into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis is pulling down on Dos Santos's head. It's preventing any offense from Dos Santos, at least for the moment. Lewis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dos Santos is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lewis scores with a couple of nice shots. Lewis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Lewis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Lewis escapes and gets back to his feet. Lewis gets in close and instigates a clinch. Lewis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lewis forces Dos Santos back against the cage and clinches. Dos Santos is trying to force a seperation but Lewis has the dominant position. Lewis landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lewis wants the takedown. Dos Santos is fighting it off but Lewis persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dos Santos's guard against the cage. Lewis has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lewis trying to control the position from guard on top but Dos Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gareth Lewis has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lewis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lewis is pushing down on Dos Santos's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dos Santos is fighting to maintain full guard but Lewis has managed to sneak the leg through. Lewis working the head and body with strikes. Lewis tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dos Santos knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Lewis content to control rather than advance. Lewis lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos won't allow Lewis to pass to mount. Lewis content to control rather than advance. Lewis stands up out of the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dos Santos's half guard. Lewis is working for a kimura but Dos Santos is defending it quite comfortably.
Lewis stands up and beckons Dos Santos to join him on the feet. Lewis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lewis pulls guard. Lewis controlling Dos Santos's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lewis has control of Dos Santos's left arm, preventing Dos Santos from doing any damage. Lewis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dos Santos manages to get himself to full guard.

Lewis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lewis controls the position from side control. Lewis landing a few strikes. Lewis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dos Santos to his feet. Lewis lands a jab to Dos Santos's midsection. Lewis closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dos Santos's guard. Lewis passes Dos Santos's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lewis stands up and beckons Dos Santos to join him on the feet. Lewis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Lewis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Lewis passes Dos Santos's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lewis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lewis stands up and beckons Dos Santos to join him on the feet. Lewis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lewis pulls guard effortlessly. Lewis is looking to stand up but Dos Santos isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis can't keep his opponent in guard - Dos Santos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Lewis tries to get to full guard but Dos Santos has control of the leg. Dos Santos wants to stand but Lewis has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lewis works his way to full guard. Good work.
And that's the end of the fight! Gareth Lewis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lewis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
