Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ribeiro comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Flux Pavilion – I Can't Stop kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Scott Banks has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcelo Ribeiro!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro shoots in but Banks avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ribeiro shoots in looking for a takedown. Banks tries to sprawl out of it but Ribeiro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Banks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ribeiro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Banks's waist but Banks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ribeiro off to one side.
Scott Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcelo Ribeiro.
Banks lands a glancing blow to the side of Ribeiro's head.
Banks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Banks scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Banks tried to score with a low kick but Ribeiro checks it.
Ribeiro shoots in for a double leg but Banks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
No luck for Banks with that takedown attempt.
Ribeiro scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ribeiro is working to tighten is grip on Banks's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Banks has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ribeiro is really squeezing tight and eventually Banks passes out! Ribeiro breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Marcelo Ribeiro!
Marcelo Ribeiro gave a mention to SAVE A FIGHTER in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
