Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Euclides Cunhha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cunhha comes to the ring accompanied by Raimundus - Eu quero ver o oco. Alexander comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cypress Hill-Hits From The Bong kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Euclides Cunhha has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Alexander! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Cunhha or perhaps it was just good defense by Alexander which made him look bad. Alexander is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cunhha's half guard. Cunhha is breathing heavily. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Cunhha makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Alexander lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Alexander smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Alexander misses with a two punch combination.
Alexander moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Alexander misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alexander connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A nice combination there by Alexander.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alexander lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Alexander wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Alexander scores with a body shot.
Alexander digs a good body shot into Cunhha's ribs. Alexander shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cunhha eats them both and turns towards Alexander to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Cunhha misses with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander looks to land a combination but Cunhha avoids it well. Alexander misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alexander throws a right and a left that Cunhha avoids nicely. Cunhha fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice shot lands for Alexander. Cunhha doesn't manage to clinch there - Alexander circles away.

Alexander lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Alexander. Cunhha has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cunhha there as he acknowledges the shot. Alexander lands a jab-cross combination. A punch combination from Alexander misses. Cunhha drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Cunhha drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cunhha jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Alexander tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cunhha working some strikes from top position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cunhha thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Alexander is trying to keep Cunhha in close.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alexander can do anything to dispel that myth. Cunhha drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Cunhha as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Alexander screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Cunhha! Nice submission victory there!
