Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kevin Nelson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lee Rock! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson tries to clinch but Rock moves away and Rock counters with a shoot takedown. Nelson fights it but they end up in guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Rock gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rock. A head kick by Rock misses and Nelson counters by moving into the clinch. Rock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nelson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rock manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rock rushes Nelson and presses him up against the cage. Nelson tries a knee to the head but Rock blocks it.
Rock is looking to break free of the clinch but Nelson has double underhooks. This has been an exciting period of action! Nelson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rock fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rock scores with a jab to the jaw. Rock moves into the clinch. Nelson is pressed up against the cage. Rock has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Nelson down to the mat. Nelson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Rock throws a head kick that misses and Nelson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nelson. Nelson prevents Rock from breaking the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rock managing to block the knees to the body from Nelson.
Rock pulls guard effortlessly. Rock is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nelson advances to half guard. Nelson is trying to work for a kimura but Rock is defending well.
Rock is refusing to be controlled, as Nelson sits in half guard. Rock wants to get back to full guard. Nelson wants to pass to mount but Rock is defending the position. Nelson wants to control but Rock is keeping him busy. Nelson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rock! Rock is desperately trying to improve his position but Nelson has a good base and remains in mount. Rock looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rock's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Nelson wants to control the pace but Rock is squirming around nicely. Rock bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nelson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rock is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rock passes easily into side control. Nice work. Nelson being controlled for a moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rock stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock fails with the takedown. Kevin Nelson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Rock. Rock swats away the attempt to clinch by Nelson. Nelson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rock counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nelson thinking. Rock has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nelson wants to clinch. Lee Rock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nelson shoots in and drives through. Rock sprawls well. Rock keeps the fight on the outside. Rock swats away the attempt to clinch by Nelson. Rock throws a leg kick and Nelson moves into the clinch. Rock managing to block the knees to the body from Nelson.

This has been an exciting period of action! Rock prevents Nelson from breaking the clinch. Nelson is working for takedown but Rock is calmly controlling the position for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rock tries for a takedown but Nelson manages to get underhooks.
Nelson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rock rushes Nelson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Nelson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Rock dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rock cracks Nelson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Rock closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nelson's guard. Nelson keeping full guard, as Rock tries to pass. Rock must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nelson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rock manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rock not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rock passes Nelson's left leg - he's now in half guard. Still in half guard, Rock seems content to control. Rock is breathing heavily. Rock is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rock stands up out of the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rock throws a push kick but Nelson slaps the foot to one side. Nelson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rock throws a leg kick that is checked and Nelson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nelson misses with a knee strike.

Rock is looking to break free of the clinch but Nelson has double underhooks. Nelson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rock smiles and moves away.
Rock fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nelson avoids it really well and circles away. Nelson tries to clinch but Rock is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rock manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nelson tries to clinch and Rock counters with a left and a right that stings Nelson. Rock slaps away a takedown attempt from Nelson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rock changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nelson tries to avoid it but Rock manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nelson to the ground. Nelson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nelson doesn't manage to clinch there - Rock circles away.

Rock lunges at Nelson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Nelson's hand. Nelson instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nelson looking for a takedown. Rock jumps into guard, dragging Nelson to the mat.
Rock is pulling down on Nelson's head. It's preventing any offense from Nelson, at least for the moment. Rock is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nelson is controlling him. Lee Rock has got the better of the ground game so far. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rock tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rock trying to keep a closed guard but Nelson is proving a slippery customer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nelson wants to control but Rock is keeping him busy. Nelson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nelson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Lee Rock will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Rock feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nelsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Rock misses with a low kick. Nelson blocks a head kick by Rock.
Rock tries for a takedown but Nelson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nelson looks to clinch and Rock counters with a one-two to the body. Rock tried to score with a low kick but Nelson checks it. Rock clinches up with Nelson and pushes him back against the cage. Nelson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rock avoids it. Rock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nelson wants to get back to striking at distance but Rock won't allow it.

Nelson lands a nice knee to the body. Rock is trying to break the clinch but Nelson has him pressed against the cage. Rock tries to pull guard but Nelson forces him back to his feet, against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Rock's face as he tries to break the clinch. Rock is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rock stops a takedown attempt from Nelson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Nelson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rock has Nelson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nelson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A head punch blocked on the inside by Nelson. Nelson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson trying to control the position from guard on top but Rock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rock wants to stand but Nelson is controlling the position. Rock keeping moving, preventing Nelson from controlling successfully. Nelson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Nelson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rock pushes Nelson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rock swats away the attempt to clinch by Nelson.

Rock displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nelson. Lee Rock is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Rock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rock pushes Nelson up against the cage in a clinch. Nelson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Rock avoiding damage as Nelson throws knees to the body.

Rock gets control of Nelson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rock will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rock is on top in guard.
Nelson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nelson keeping full guard, as Rock tries to pass. Rock wants to stand but Nelson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Nelson working a defensive guard here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rock slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Rock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nelson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Lee Rock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Rock winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
