Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tad Ghostal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudi Guns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ghostal comes to the cage accompanied by Good King Wenceslas. Guns is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by If I Ruled The World. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tad Ghostal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rudi Guns! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ghostal connects with a jab. A bone on bone clash there as Guns blocks the leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ghostal, right into the meat.
Guns connects with a body shot. No luck for Guns with that takedown attempt. Guns checks a leg kick. Ghostal lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ghostal. Ghostal fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Guns is out of range. Ghostal thows a body shot but no joy. A telegraphed right hand from Ghostal misses the target. Guns on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Guns lands a slapping body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ghostal fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ghostal misses with a body kick. Ghostal moves away from the strike by Guns. Ghostal throws a jab but it's blocked by Guns. Guns misses with a looping left. Guns throws a sloppy body shot
and Ghostal counters with a solid body kick. Ghostal falls off balance throwing a combination
and Guns makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ghostal comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ghostal looks to land a body kick but Guns moved away. Ghostal gets a takedown into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ghostal lands a nice short elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ghostal sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Guns defending well though. Ghostal missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Guns tries to kick Ghostal off but Ghostal keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Guns is staying active underneath Ghostal, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Guns gets back to full guard.
Guns working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ghostal. Guns throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ghostal escapes and throws Guns's legs to the side, diving into side control! Ghostal grinds an elbow into Guns's temple. Ghostal is chipping away with strikes.
Ghostal cracks Guns with a big elbow. Ghostal wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Guns, who protects the arm well. Ghostal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guns keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guns tries to bench press Ghostal off him but Ghostal keeps the position. Ghostal working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Ghostal working the head with strikes. Guns gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Ghostal is nestled in close to Guns, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Guns is pressing down on Ghostal's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Guns working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ghostal. Ghostal in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ghostal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ghostal is looking to work some ground and pound but Guns has wrist control. Guns looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ghostal distracts Guns with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ghostal works a leg free and moves into half guard. Ghostal prevents Guns from improving his position. Guns wants to get back to his feet. Ghostal is keen to just control but Guns is a slippery customer. Guns wants to get back to full guard. Guns tries to kick Ghostal off but Ghostal keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ghostal is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ghostal is trying to control the action in half guard but Guns is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Guns has a hand on Ghostal's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Ghostal takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ghostal tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ghostal scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Guns?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tad Ghostal dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Guns on the wrong end of a nice hook. Ghostal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ghostal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Guns fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ghostal slips under a jab from Guns. Guns walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. A looping hook to the body misses from Ghostal. Guns does a little dance to reset his feet. Ghostal throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Guns crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ghostal - the referee stops the clock and Guns gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ghostal. Guns manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Guns thows a left - swing and a miss! Ghostal takes a swing at Guns's ribcage but misses. Guns throws a looping overhand right but Ghostal ducks down to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ghostal lands a nice looking body shot.
Guns is looking to chop away at Ghostal's legs. Guns shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ghostal as he jumps to the side. The crowd cheers as Ghostal lands an impressive looking overhand right. Guns doesn't seem phased though. Ghostal jabs Guns to the body, keeping him at a distance. Ghostal buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Guns looks to land a right hand but Ghostal moved out of range. Guns cracks a nice hook into Ghostal's ribs. Guns shoots for a double leg takedown but Ghostal sprawls well. He's pushed Guns's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tad Ghostal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rudi Guns. A solid body kick from Ghostal. Ghostal throws a looping overhand right but Guns ducks down to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Guns checks a leg kick. Guns shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ghostal pinned against the cage. Ghostal gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Guns throws a lazy uppercut
and Ghostal counters with a head kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Ghostal throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A jab from Guns misses. Ghostal throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Guns jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ghostal ducks under a wild hook from Guns. Tad Ghostal is winning the standup battle so far. Guns blocks a head kick by Ghostal.
Guns walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ghostal. Guns lands a really nice looking cross but Ghostal seems unphased.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guns avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ghostal closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Guns actively working from the bottom here. Ghostal lands with a punch from half guard. Tad Ghostal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ghostal trying to control from half guard but Guns is working away. Guns keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ghostal seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Ghostal takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ground and pound from Ghostal. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ghostal connects with a nice short shot to Guns's temple. Ghostal wants to advance to full mount but Guns doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ghostal throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Guns works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Guns is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Guns thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Guns not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ghostal postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Ghostal won't allow Guns to sweep him here. Ghostal with a nice head shot there. Guns wants to stand and escape but Ghostal is having none of it. Ghostal trying to control but Guns is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Guns wants to improve his position but instead Ghostal has moved into half guard.
Ghostal is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Guns sees it coming and defends easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tad Ghostal dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Ghostal shoots in looking for a takedown. Guns tries to sprawl out of it but Ghostal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Guns scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ghostal in his tracks. Ghostal throws a leg kick and Guns counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ghostal lands a body shot.
Ghostal is looking to wear down Guns with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Guns bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ghostal's head backwards. Ghostal scores with a shot to the body.
Ghostal swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Guns moves out of range of the strikes. Guns changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ghostal tries to avoid it but Guns manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ghostal to the ground. Ghostal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ghostal walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A swing and a miss from Guns. Ghostal slips under a jab from Guns. Nice defenses there by Ghostal. Ghostal swings for the body but Guns moves out of range.

Guns misses with a leg kick and Ghostal counters with a good low kick that Guns was not able to check. Ghostal pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Guns ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ghostal moves away. Ghostal slips under a jab from Guns.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guns takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ghostal looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Guns is fending him off so far but Ghostal persists. Nope, Guns circles away and we're back to standing. Ghostal pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Guns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ghostal was well out of range. Poor timing from Guns. Guns looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ghostal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ghostal throws a lazy body kick and Guns counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ghostal thinking. Ghostal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Guns.
Guns misses the body punch and Ghostal connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Guns throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ghostal sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ghostal dives in and scores a takedown into Guns's guard. Ghostal loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ghostal with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ghostal throwing strikes from guard but Guns blocks nicely. Guns wants to sweep here but Ghostal controlling him for the moment. Guns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ghostal's guard. Rudi Guns has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ghostal is looking for a triangle but Guns pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ghostal looking for a sweep. Not yet Ghostal, not yet. Ghostal is looking for a triangle but Guns pushes his legs off easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Guns lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Ghostal has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Guns can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Guns trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ghostal trying to keep a closed guard but Guns is proving a slippery customer.
Guns throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Guns throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ghostal works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ghostal looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Guns is defending well. Ghostal quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Guns has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Ghostal celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
