The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Utu scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Djigurda doesn't seem bothered though.

Utu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Utu lands a big head kick that sends Djigurda tumbling to the mat! Utu takes a step backwards and waves Djigurda back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Nikita Djigurda has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Utu smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Utu connects with a body shot that sends Djigurda's belly button to the back.
Utu throws a nice inside leg kick.

Utu drops Djigurda with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Djigurda looks back up at him and smiles so Utu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Djigurda is rocked!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Utu.
Djigurda is still on wobbly legs! Can Utu finish him?
Djigurda glances at the clock... BAM! Utu nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Djigurda crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Djigurda is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Rau Utu was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
