Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gary Katchem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Morales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gary Katchem! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Martin Morales! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Katchem tries to clinch but Morales moves out of range. Katchem tries to clinch up but Morales circles away and keeps his distance. Morales throws a series of punches but Katchem avoids them all with ease. Katchem tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Morales paws at him with a jab and circles away. Morales looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Katchem tries to clinch up and Morales counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morales lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Morales. A right-left combo lands from Morales. Katchem tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Morales counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Katchem tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A punch combination from Morales misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jab from Morales. Katchem tries to clinch but fails miserably and Morales counters with a one-two to the body. Katchem tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Morales counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Morales displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Morales misses with a wild combination.
Katchem moves to clinch but Morales breaks away and Morales counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Morales dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Katchem has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Morales swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Martin Morales is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Katchem fails with an attempt to clinch.
Katchem tries to close the distance and clinch but Morales swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morales circles away from the clinch attempt.

Morales throws a right and a left that Katchem avoids nicely. Katchem tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Morales manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Morales misses with a few strikes there.
Morales lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Katchem circles away quickly and effectively. Morales fails to land with a series of punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Morales avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Morales throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Katchem tries to clinch and Morales connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Morales, as that shot connected.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Katchem tries to clinch up. Morales lands a nice looking body shot.
Katchem wants to clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Danga de danga de dang - Morales scores with a four punch combination! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Morales showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Morales will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Katchem takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Katchem slips a jab and a cross from Morales.

Katchem has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Morales connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Morales lands a jab-cross combination. Katchem doesn't manage to clinch there - Morales circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Morales misses with a series of wild punches.
Morales paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Katchem dodges the punch combination from Morales.
Katchem looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Katchem tries to clinch there but Morales circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Martin Morales comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Morales has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
