7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Angero! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angero darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Gregson trying to control from the bottom.
Gregson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Angero pulls his head out easily. Gregson trying to control from the bottom.
Angero is working for a kimura but Gregson is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Angero tries to stand and escape but Gregson is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Angero is looking for a kimura here.
Angero wants to work for an arm triangle but Gregson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gregson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Angero's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Angero's back! Angero is trying to stand back up. Gregson thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Angero is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Gregson off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Angero is trying to defend against the choke here but Gregson has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Gregson Tightens the hold and Angero taps out furiously! Gregson displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
