Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kazushi Sakuraba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Wayne! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wayne misses with a few strikes there.
Wayne swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sakuraba counters with a head kick. That will keep Wayne thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Sakuraba scores with a one two! Wayne had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Wayne closes the distance and clinches. Wayne displaying some good clinch control by pressing Sakuraba up against the cage. Sakuraba lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Wayne backwards. Wayne has Sakuraba pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sakuraba manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Sakuraba breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wayne tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sakuraba swivels and escapes. Wayne shoots in for a takedown but Sakuraba shows good takedown defense. Kazushi Sakuraba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Wayne. Wayne looks gassed! Sakuraba looks to land a combination but Wayne avoids it well. Sakuraba throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Steve Wayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wayne shoots in looking for a takedown but Sakuraba manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wayne's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sakuraba connects with a leg kick. Wayne looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Sakuraba lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakuraba will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nice uppercut lands for Sakuraba. That snapped Wayne's head back.
Sakuraba fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wayne. Kazushi Sakuraba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sakuraba with a hook.
Wayne is rocked! Sakuraba lands with a right and another and another! Wayne is in big trouble! Sakuraba lands again and this time it's lights out for Wayne! A quality knockout there for Sakuraba.
