Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daron Laylay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry McDaniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daron Laylay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terry McDaniels!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDaniels tries to sprawl but Laylay drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laylay is pressing down on McDaniels's thigh, looking to free his foot. McDaniels is holding on for now.

McDaniels has one foot on Laylay's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
McDaniels fails to land with a series of punches.
Laylay is trying hard to land a takedown here. McDaniels sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
McDaniels throws a right hand that Laylay ducks under and follows up with a left that Laylay also avoids with ease.
McDaniels throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McDaniels throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Laylay.

Laylay feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Laylay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McDaniels paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Laylay will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McDaniels is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Daron Laylay really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Tokyo Foundation logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
